Soap Nuts Trial #1

Last night I found the smallest piece of soapnut that I could find in my trial bag and tested it. Cold water wasn't so good, warm water it started to lather up a little, with only a little rubbing.
This morning I put about 6 half nuts in the washing bag (provided) and chucked it in the laundry, the bag was tied up of course. It seems to have worked. I forgot to check on it during the wash part of the cycle to see how much it sudsed up though. The clothes smell clean, it is a slightly sweet smell and all visible dirt has gone. If these nuts/berries/things work well they will replace our ordinary laundry powder as they will work out heaps cheaper.
