Lots Of Babies

IMG_2790-smlIMG_2795-sml Tis the season to be merry! Well, it isn’t Christmas yet but there are people rejoicing over the birth of the many babies, or the babies to come. First we had the baby mice (all 11 of them), followed by the guinea pigs (in a previous post). This was followed by the next lot of baby guinea pigs to be born. Soon sloth will become a mama (she looks pretty gravid at the moment which basically means “full of eggs”) and then we will have a lot more babies.

There are quite a few humans people I know that are pregnant also. My sister is just finishing her first trimester, a friend from Ukraine is expecting her 3rd child, one friend just had her 8th baby, another friend is very bumpy and due in a few shorts months time, and I think another friend is in the early stages of her 3rd pregnancy. I could have missed someone out here, so sorry if I did.

Guinea Pig Babies

One of the kids' guinea pigs finally gave birth. This is the female we gave to our friends a while ago because the female was pining for the male, as was he, for her. Two of the colours were expected but the cream one was rather a surprise. Still, they are all cute, and I particularly like the cream one.
The other female, we gave to our friends, is due very soon to give birth to her littler. She is almost too fat to fit in her hutch doorway!

New Additions

New additions have been popping up everywhere recently. You could almost mistake it for spring if it wasn't the fact that some additions were already adult.
Starting a few weeks back a friend of ours had a little girl via c-section. She is a gorgeous little thing and I had a hold of her when she was a week old.
After this, the Monday just gone, two of our friends had their own baby girls (Two seperate babies by seperate couples who don't know each other). Both are gorgeous looking babies and healthy.
The first born of the two was born down at the Gold Coast and is a very strong baby. There is one thing though, and she was born blind, with no eyes at all. She is definately making up for this by being strong and very alert of her surroundings. It is hard for her parents but I am sure that they will find the support they need.
The next baby was born up near me at Caboolture to some great friends. The baby has a head full of hair, maybe even more then Merc had as a baby. She is very alert and perfect.
